What do I need to bring when dropping off my pet?
A copy of your pets updated vaccinations, enough food for their stay and any bed, blankets or toys you want to bring. We also have extra bedding and toys on hand.
Can my dog play with other dogs?
We don’t put the dogs together due to safety. A dog fight can happen in an instant. And if we let all dogs play together we would need to assess each one to see if they are a good fit which would result in us having to turn some people away. Not every dog likes to be around or play with other dogs as they come in all sorts of ages, sizes, and different health issues. When you see pictures of more than one dog playing together it’s because they are all owned by the same person and are used to living and playing with one another.
However, if socialization and pup play is what you seek, We have 4 dogs of our own, we can pick 1 that we believe would best match up and introduce to your dog. As long as the owner is present for the introduction and gives permission.
What vaccinations are required and why?
Vaccinations are required because we want to do everything in our power to keep our guests safe.
Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza,
Parvovirus, Rabies, and Bordetella
Rabies, and Calicivirus
However, Some vaccinations (ie. Bordatella) are like the flu shot. In the sense that they don’t protect against all strains of the virus, just the majority and most common ones. But we must do everything we can to minimize all the risks.
Can I bring raw food?
Absolutely! We have a fridge and a freezer to safely store away your dog's food.
Will you accept my bully breed?
We accept all dog and cat breeds as we don’t put them together. Each pet will have their own suite and will receive individual playtime sessions and/or walks with a staff member. Pets from the same family are welcome to share suites and play together if they get along well at home. All we ask is your pet is tame enough where we can provide them the necessary care they need.
What time can my pet be dropped off and picked up?
Our operating hours are 7:30am-12noon and 2pm-5pm every day and you can pick up/drop off between those hours.
Checkout time is between 7:30am-12noon and you will NOT be charged for that day if you pick up between those hours.
If you pick up AFTER 12noon (between 2pm-5pm) you will be charged for that day.
Why do you charge for an extra day if I pick up my pet between 2pm-5pm?
The reason is simply because we need to get the suite ready for the next guest. Just like at a human hotel😊
What if I need to cancel my booking?
Please call or email us asap.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, credit, debit, and e-transfer.
What is Daycare?
Daycare is dropping your pet off and picking them up before 5pm. Daycare consists of 2 walks or play yard/room session or one of each and complimentary treats and cuddles. Daycare is also a great way to desensitize your dog and make him feel less nervous about being boarded again in the near future. They will become familiar with the staff and the area and will feel more comfortable in their surroundings.
If my pet needs medication several times a day does that cost extra?
Absolutely NOT! We just ask you give us the necessary dosing instructions.
Are you licensed?
Yes, you can see our license framed on the wall when you walk into our front office.
Is it a problem if my pet is not fixed?
No, it is your personal preference whether you choose to fix your animal or not
Do you do tours of the facilities?
Absolutely! Feel free to call or email us and we would be happy to set up an appointment.
How do I make reservations?
Please call or email us and we would be happy to book your pet(s) in. Its best to book in advance to guarantee a spot, especially during holiday hours and peak seasons.
My dog has never been boarded before, what can I do to make him/her less nervous?
Book them in for daycare! Drop them off for the day and pick them up by 5pm. It will help desensitize them when they come back as your dog will be familiar with the area and the staff members and feel less nervous the second time around.
I often see a few dogs barking outside when I pull in the driveway, who are they?
The welcoming commitee:) Those are our personal 4 dogs that you see. They are friendly but will always be secured behind a fence in our yard, as we live on the property. They have access to a doggy door that they go in and out of the house in. They are 2 males and 2 females, Red, Maverick, Rosie and Raina. Maverick and Raina are both Dutch Shepards, Red is a Treeing Walker Coon Hound and Rosie is a Catahoula/Bully mix.
Why do I often see 2 white cats in the front office?
Those are our personal cats TJ and Sakawinki. They were owner surrenders and we quickly fell in love with them and adopted them. They are both friendly and will stay out of the way during check ins and check outs.
